ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation Dehradun organized one-day ICAR-IISWC industry stakeholders meet-23 with industries and corporates including ONGC Dehradun, ITC-WIMCO, Kuantam papers Ltd, IFFCO, BAIF, Nature bestows, Anmol polymers, Anhad farm, Yashika herbal and JMD Polymers, on 26.09.2023.
The Chief guest, Dr Ram Raj Dwivedi, CGM ONGC spoke on the significance of farming sector and potential of CSR fund to advance the farming related research and development. Dr Dwivedi addressed the gathering and gave the glimpse of ONGC working on agriculture and rural development along with other CSR activities.
Dr M. Madhu, Director IISWC speaking about the institute's vision and mission of promoting resource conservation and livelihoods he called for the collaboration and networking with industries, CSR partners and other stakeholders for societal and environmental benefits.
Earlier, Dr J.M.S Tomar, Head, Plant Science Division and organizing secretary of event welcoming the Chief guest, Guest of honor, Director ICAR-IISWC, industry partners and ICAR-IISWC Heads and scientists, he briefed the importance of the meet in light of the ICAR-Industry collaboration forged in research and development, technology commercialization and CSR.
Dr M. Muruganandam OIC-PME & KM Unit, IISWC and organizing secretary made a brief presentation on the research and development activities outcomes accrued through various programs and research programs and future aspirations of the Institute.
The Guest of Honor was Dr Vikram Singh, Sr. Scientist, IPTM, ICAR New Delhi shared the recent developments in IPTM, technology management and ICAR components of ICAR. He talked about the facilities provided by ICAR for technology commercialization and the support for intellectual properties registration.
Dr Anupam Barh, In-charge ITMU and organizing secretary of event presented the mode of collaboration with the industries. In feedback session, the industry partners expressed the various problems being addressed by them and their expertise to promote possible areas of collaboration for the development of farming communities and entrepreneurs.
About 11 industrial and corporate organizations took in active deliberation during the meet. Dr C. S Sajan, GM-CSR, ONGC, Dehradun, Dr Shashank Shukla from ITC-WIMCO, Dr Sudhir Kumar Sharma and Kuldeep Sharma from Kuantam Papers Ltd, Mr. R.K Srivastava and Vinod Kumar Joshi from IFFCO, Dr Sandip Yadav and Dr Dinesh Raturi from BAIF, Mr. Man Mohan Bhardwaj from Nature bestows, Anmol polymers, Mr Ajeet Kumar and Mr. Gurvinder Singh from Anhad farm, Mr. Padam Singh Rathore from Yashika herbal, Sanjeev Kumar Sharma from Anmol Polymers and Mr. Atul Goel from JMD Polymers shared their views and promotional needs. Subsequent to the Meet, exposure visit to Institute's Museum was conducted by Dr. Charan Singh, Head HRD &SS, IISWC.
About 150 participants attended including all heads of division and centers and scientists of ICAR-IISWC, both in physical and online mode and deliberated in the event. Dr Vibha Singal, Principal Scientist facilitated the meeting interaction.
