An exposure visit for the farmers of Ananthapuramu district (Andhra Pradesh) was conducted by ICAR-IISWC, Research Centre, Ballari on dated 29-1-2021 on the request of of Project Director, ATMA, Ananthapuramu, A.P.. A total of 22 farmers participated in the said Farmers exposure visit. Dr. S. L. Patil, Head of Centre, addressed the farmers about the Centre's activities and sensitized them about effective agronomic measures for watershed management.
Dr. B.S. Naik, Senior Scientist (SWC Engg.) had explained the farmers about various suitable soil and water conservation measures for the watershed treatment. Sh. Ramesh, Scientist (Forestry) briefed the farmers about the plantation activities to be adopted in watershed. Sh. Ravi K. N., Scientist (Agril. Extn) and Dr. Ravi Dupdal, Scientist (Agril. Econ.) sensitized the farmers about people's participation and economic ways of successful watershed development. Dr. M. Prabhavati, Scientist (Soil) explained about the importance of soil, laboratory testing of soil samples and the need of soil health card for more farm income. The exposure visit was successfully coordinated and conducted by Dr. B.S. Naik, Senior Scientist (SWC Engg.) and Sh. Ravi K.N., Scientist (Agril. Extn) of the Centre.
