ICAR- Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Research Centre, Udhagamandalam organized the closing ceremony and prize distribution programme of Hindi Chetna Maas on 14-10-2024. Several competitions were organized from 12-09-2024 to 11-10-2024 in commemoration of Hindi Diwas and Chetana Maas celebrations. The competitions conducted were Hindi reading competition, Hindi writing competition and Hindi poem recitation and singing competition for all the staff of the center. All the staff of the center had participated with enthusiasm in all the competitions.

The prizes were distributed to the winners by Dr. Somasundaram Jayaraman, Head of the Centre. Around 30 members participated in the programme. Dr. Somasundaram Jayaraman addressed the gathering and explained importance of using Hindi language in day-to-day activities of the center and congratulated the winners of all the competitions. The programme was coordinated by Dr. S. M. Vanitha, Senior Scientist and Hindi Officer (I/c) and Shri. George John, Senior Technical Officer under the guidance of Dr. Somasundaram Jayaraman. The programme was ended with a formal vote of thanks.
