On 14th September, Hindi Day was organized in the premises of the institute. Dr. M. Madhu, Director, ICAR-IISWC praised the progress of the Hindi at the Institute and emphasized that it is necessary to increase the effective use of Hindi as office knowledge. Also announced the award of second and third prizes.
The day was organized and coordinated by Chief Administrative Officer Heera Nand Sharma. In which all the scientists, officers and employees expressed their views on 'soil and water conservation'.
Dr. Charan Singh, Head of the Department of Human Resource Development and Social Sciences of the Institute, welcomed all the present scientists, officers and employees and congratulated them on Hindi Day. Dr. Singh requested all the people present to promote Hindi. Apart from this, Dr. Singh laid emphasis on adopting Hindi as the language of employment and also requested to promote Hindi language through research papers, books and training booklets being published by the institute.
Apart from this, Dr. R.K. Singh, Head of the Department of Hydrology and Engineering Department of the Institute. On this occasion, Singh and Head of Department of Soil and Agricultural Sciences, Dr. Gopal Kumar also stressed the need to promote the propagation of Hindi language. At the end, everyone was thanked for participating in the program and making it successful.
