At the village Kandogal in Kudiyal Gram Panchayat, a scientific workshop on rural evaluation was organized by National Academy of Agricultural Research and Management (NAARM), Hyderabad, and the Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Dehradun. Six Scientists from the Aacademy namely Dr. Harshit Kumar, Dr. Geeta, Dr. Aruna Kuniyal, Dr. Pankhuri Singhal, Dr. Sumit Urhe, and Dr. Narendra Singh, shared their experiences of rural evaluation with the farmers.
The workshop was organized under the guidance of Dr. Bankey Bihari, Pr. Scientist and Dr. Indu Rawat, Sr. Scientist (FET Coordinators) from IISWC, Dehradun, along with the Dr. N. A. Vijay Avinashilingam, Principal Scientist from NAARM, Hyderabad. The Scientist Probationers from NAARM, Hyderabad shared scientific solutions based on the study conducted in Kandogal village's agriculture and livestock systems over the past 15 days during 29th May to 12th June 2023. The workshop extensively covered topics such as soil and water conservation, cereal crop production, horticultural crop management, diseases and pest management, advanced livestock breeds, proper management, vaccination, and poultry farming.
The program was attended by the village Pradhan Sh Mahesh Upreti, Veterinary Officer Dr. Shah Jahan Malik, Mr K R Joshi, Mr. Anil Malik from Farmer FIRST Project, cooperative chairman Mr. Kushal Pal Singh and other villagers.
