ICAR-IISWC, Dehradun organized Farmer Field School at village Manduwala, Distt. Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh in collaboration with ICAR – CIRC, Meerut under SCSP scheme of ICAR on 13th Feb. 2023. The brief about the programme was explained by Dr. D V Singh PI, SCSP and Head, HRD & SS Division. The programme was jointly organized by ICAR – IISWC Dehradun and ICAR – CIRC, Meerut. A team of Scientists; Dr. S K Verma, Pr. Scientist, Dr. Rajeev Ranjan, Sr Scientist and Dr. S. Mahajan, Scientist were present from ICAR-CIRC, Meerut. They apprised the farmers about nutrient rich animal feed, various animal health issues, their diseases and their management. They also distributed various inputs like milking bucket, animal feed mixture, canvas, deworming medicine etc among farmers.

A total of 120 farmers attended and got benefitted with the programme. Besides, a representative from Advanta India Ltd., an agricultural seed producer company also deliberated upon various nutritious fodder crops which can be used by the farmers to keep their cattle healthy and to increase their milk productivity. Sh. Vijay Pal, Gram Pradhan of Manduwala Gram Panchayat, Master Sh. Telu Ram, along with other retired school teachers of the village graced the occasion. The programmes was coordinated by team of Dr. Indu Rawat, Sr. Scientist, Sh. Dharampal, Sh. Inder Singh Chauhan, Technician from ICAR – IISWC Dehradun.
