A Scientists-Farmers Interface meeting and Focused Group Discussion were organized at Village Kalimati, Raipur block, Dehradun on 27th Dec. 2022 under ICAR-NIAP collaboration project “Impact of Agricultural Technology: Impact of Watershed Management in Different Agro-Ecological Regions”. The team of Dr. Indu Rawat, Sr. Scientist, Dr. Abimanyu Jhajhria, Scientist and Mr. Dharmpal (Technician) coordinated the programme at the village. The team interacted with the farmer beneficiaries of the village where ICAR-IISWC implemented various interventions related to soil and water conservation under Institute Village Linkage Programme (IVLP). Through this programme, a sub-surface water harvesting tank was designed and constructed at the village site to store the natural spring water. The farmers shared their excellent experiences after these interventions and apprised that they have been befitted a lot after getting water for farming. The water harvesting structure is functioning very well at present also and it is managed through water user association.
