ICAR-IISWC, RC, Koraput organized training cum distribution programme on Integrated nutrient management on vegetable cultivation under RKVY project (Assessment of performance of traditional water harvesting structure Jhola kundi in enhancing socio-economic status of tribals in Koraput district, Odisha at Nandpur block of Koraput district on 06.12.2023. Initiating the training programme, Sh. Pranab Kumar, PD Watershed welcome one and all present in the programme and briefed in details about the Jholakundi and purpose of this training programme. Speaking on this occasion, Dr Ch. Jyotiprava Dash, PI of the project briefed in details about technical aspects Jhola Kundi and urged the farmers to adopt the technology for their betterment. Dr J. Lenka, Sci (Fruit Sci) explained about the integrated nutrient management in vegetable cultivation and higher productivity of crop. Also briefed on technical aspects, importance, dosage and application procedure of micronutrient and fertilizer use in different crops Sh. Debasis Kumar, BAO explained on safe use of fertilizers and its application. A total of 58 farmers including farm women from Block- Nandpur, Dist- Koraput, Odisha participated in this training programme. During interaction session farmers query were clarified by scientists and technical officers of the research centre. Sh Debasis Kumar, BAO, Assistant Agriculture Officer, Nandpur, Sh. G.W Barla, STO also participated and assisted in successful organizing the training programme. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Ch. J Dash, and Dr. J Lenka.
