On the occasion of World Hindi Day, January 10, an International web seminar was organized on 10.01.2023 under the aegis of ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation (ICAR-IISWC),Dehradun. In the webinar, achievements and progress were presented by eminent scholars of Hindi language and Indian literature associated with many countries of the world.
The topic of discussion in this web seminar was - "Contribution of overseas Indians in the spread of Hindi at the world level". Scholarly personalities provided rich culture and traditions associated with the Hindi language.
The program was inaugurated by Dr. M Madhu, Director, IISWC, Dehradun and in his welcome note he appreciated the chief guest and other presenters. The Chief Guest, Prof. Girish Nath Jha, Chairman, Commission for Scientific and Technical Terminology, Ministry of Education, Government of India New Delhi spoke on the distinctions and international significance of Hindi language.
Key note speaker, Prof. Pushpita Awasthi President, Hindi Universe Foundation, Netherlands and Distinguished Speakers, Mrs.Sunita Narayan New Zealand, Dr.Nitin Upadhyay United Arab Emirates, Mrs.Rita Kaushal Australia, Mrs.Aradhana Jha Srivastava Singapore, and Dr.Nutan Pandey Assistant Director, Central Hindi Directorate, Ministry of Education, Govt of India deliberated on various aspects of Hindi literature and language.
About 100 scientists, officers and employees from various institutes of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research and across the world participated in this seminar and deliberated and interacted with the scholars and benefited. The seminar was conceptualized and coordinated by Shri. Ashutosh Kumar Tiwari, Deputy Director (Official Language) of the Institute.
