Kisan Diwas and Swachhata Pakhwada were celebrated at Dhakarani village in Vikas Nagar, under the Agri Drone project, organized by the ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation (ICAR-IISWC), Research Farm, Selaqui, Dehradun. About 100 participants 80 farmers and 20 government officials have participated. Dr. I .A. Khan, Ex-Director of Horticulture Uttarakhand, Dr. M Sankar Senior scientist and Coordinator of this program, BDO Athiya Khan, and Zahira Khatun, village Pradhan were present during the program. Dr. I A Khan briefed about different policies of horticulture for farmers while Dr. M Sankar explained about Kisan Diwas celebration and its theme, Delivering smart solutions for sustainable food security and resilience. He also explained about Drone application in agriculture and the importance of Swachhata Pakhwada for farmers and Society. During program inputs, Nano urea and urea were distributed to the farmers under Agri Drone project. At the end of program, Drone demonstration was conducted with the spraying of nano urea at farmers' fields. The program was Co-coordinated by Sh JS Deshwal, Farm Superintendent, Dr Pramod Lawate, and Sh. Ravish Singh.
