ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water conservation, Research Centre, Koraput organized three months Unit Attachment Programme (Internship) under Rural Agriculture Work Experience training for B.Sc.(hons.) Agriculture students from Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Siksha ‘o’Anusandhan, deemed to be university, Bhubaneswar on soil & water conservation and watershed management, Agriculture and allied subjects 10th September to 9th December 2024.
A total of 5 students’ undergone training during this period. The valedictory session of the training programme was held on 9th December 2024. Initiating the proceedings Sh. G.W. Barla, STO & Course coordinator welcome one and all present summarized the overall training programme. Speaking on this occasion Dr. Ramajayam D. Head & Course Director emphasized the importance of new vision in combination with improved tools and methods to deal with natural resource management, soil and water conservation technologies and agriculture production in climate change scenario.
Dr P. Raja, Pri, Sci (soil) encouraged students for higher studies in the field of Agriculture, and also advised the participating students to make use of the leaning in career ahead. Dr (Mrs.), J. Lenka, Sci (Fruit Science) & Course Co-Director, spoke on this occasion and advised the students to be ready for future challenges and endeavor and also proposed vote of thanks. The Programme comes to an end with the National Anthem.
