ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation demonstrated soil and water conservation technologies at the institute stall in the Uttarakhand State Youth Festival Fair organized at Parade Ground Dehradun during 10th to 14th November, 2024. This mega event was inaugurated by Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, and Smt. Rekha Arya, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister. Apart from this, ministers of various departments of the state also visited various stalls in the fair premises.

In this fair, more than 300 institutions demonstrated techniques related to agriculture, horticulture and organic farming at their stalls. Apart from a large number of visitors visited the institute's stall and more than 2500 students from various educational institutions got information about soil and water conservation techniques. In this successful event, soil and water conservation techniques were demonstrated by Shri Dharampal under the guidance of Dr. Charan Singh, Head of the Human Resource Development & Social Sciences Division of the Institute.
