Hindi Workshop was organized by ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Research Centre, Vasad under the auspices of Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLI), Anand on 26th July, 2024 on the occasion of World Nature Conservation Day-2024. Under the workshop, a short Hindi speech competition was also organized on the topic “Living a sustainable life in harmony with nature” in which employees of various central government offices under Anand Town Official Language Implementation Committee participated with enthusiasm. The program started with the welcome of the chief guest of the function Dr. Manish Das, Director, ICAR-Directorate of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Research, Boriyavi, Anand, Gujarat with a flower bouquet and shawl as a token of respect. Dr. Jagdish Patil, Chief Manager and Lead District Manager, Bank of Baroda, Anand was the special guest nominated by the president of the Anand Town official language implementation committee by flower bouquet and shawl as a token of respect. Dr. P. Balamurugan, Member Secretary of Anand Town's official language implementation committee was also welcomed with a flower bouquet and shawl as a token of respect for the program. The program was also honored by the online presence of the Shri Ashutosh Kumar Tiwari, Deputy Director, (Official Language), ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Dehradun. Dr. M.J. Kaledhonkar, Head, ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Research Center-Vasad was also welcomed with a flower bouquet. Dr. A.K. Singh, Principal Scientist & Ex-head of the center was also welcomed with a flower bouquet. All the officers and employees of various Central Government offices present under the Anand Town Official Language Implementation Committee were also welcomed. The chief guest and other dignitaries started the program with the lighting of the lamp. Dr. M.J. Kaledhonkar, Head, ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Research Center-Vasad, Anand gave the welcome address and also briefed about the program to all the delegates from different central government offices of Anand. He also highlighted the importance of the conservation of natural resources in sustainably living life in harmony with nature. Dr. P. Balamurugan, Member Secretary of Anand Town's official language implementation committee highlighted the importance of simple living with less use of resources of sustainability and harmony with nature. Shri Ashutosh Kumar Tiwari, Deputy Director, (Official Language), ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Dehradun also made an online presentation regarding the different rules and regulations regarding the implementation of the official language. Dr. Jagdish Patil, Chief Manager and Lead District Manager, Bank of Baroda, Anand highlighted the importance of nature in one's life and the responsibility of each individual in the protection of Mother Earth and the concept of one earth for all. Dr. Manish Das, Director, ICAR-Directorate of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Research, Boriavi, Anand, Gujarat reminded that during the Corona pandemic, the country men trusted natural medicines to save life. He said that the Indian lifestyle is in complete harmony with nature. Due to the influence of western lifestyle, we have gone a little away from nature. But the country's interest in Indian yoga practice and Ayurveda is increasing.
He also urged every person to plant more and more trees to make our planet green and healthy to live on sustainably. The brief speech competition on the topic "Living a sustainable life in harmony with nature" was organized amongst the staff of different central government offices under the Anand Town official language implementation committee. On this occasion, the program was also attended by the one-month implant training students from state agricultural universities of Maharashtra and they also participated in the brief speech competition organized under the Hindi workshop. The program was attended by different staff of central government offices in Anand such as Public Sector Banks, Railways, Post offices, Income tax departments, National Dairy Development Board, etc. The program was coordinated by Dr. Gaurav Singh, Officer in charge (Official Language), ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Research Center-Vasad, Anand. Through the active participation of the officers and staff from different central government offices of Anand and with the support of all the staff of the center the program was successfully organized at the centre.
